At the airport in Atlanta I ponder going home, again, before leaving, again. Seems like I’ve been gone since February. Wait, I have. Maybe in fits and starts, but essentially gone enough to break up whatever rhythm at home I may have tried to slide into. And you know what? It’s okay. The travel has been wonderful and the experiences exceptional. Next up is Hilton Head for a week or so, then home for one month – the only month I’ll be home all year. The nice thing about returning home this time is that the weather will allow me to venture outside and begin the summer ascent. Backyard furniture, garden repair, working at the house on the river; everything I need to get started can now get started.
Yes, two weeks is short, but the time is enough to make me smile and feel good about the transition. And as always, living life in the moment, portends joyful movement instead of trudging through anxiety and depression one might feel if one were to press. I take my spring chores with a leap into warmth and a step into relaxation, for once completed, I can sit and watch the summer swirl from the comfort of my Adirondack chair. Going home, again, before leaving, again, isn’t a bad thing. It’s simply a thing. Long live TSA Precheck!
