The super-rich, who have monopolized the gas and oil resources around the country (and the world), have fought years to have a decision like Citizen’s United available to them. They are now able to explore and expand the oil and gas industry through an increase in fracking, continue to make huge profit off the American (and world-wide) public, then in-turn use that money to fund 501(c)(4)’s to bankroll elections giving them even more power and ever increasing wealth. The perfect scheme, and the American consumer buys into it every day while they utilize more and more energy and wonder why things in their political arenas worsen. Pawns on a chess board while the royalty stands behind. Wake up!!! Look at your investment portfolios. Every company you invest in may use that money for political gain – weather you agree with them or not. So if you are unhappy with particular issues in American government or the elected officials, don’t whine unless your portfolio is clean. I suspect many an activist with a retirement plan has mutual funds and holdings working against everything they work toward. Think about it.
