As usual in the mornings, I step outside to search the sky for answers. The stars and planets blink messages to me, but they’re encrypted. I only smile knowing they’re still up there. When I walk back inside, I stand in the kitchen and ponder the last couple of weeks. You know? I am really having fun experimenting and cooking; thus I shall call it cheffing. Last night I made shrimp and pasta for the first time. Don’t laugh at me. Your listening to a guy who made peanut butter and jelly, some oatmeal, and maybe some macaroni and cheese once in a while. Over the last several years, I have learned to cook, but last night I mixed capers, sun dried tomatoes, grilled shrimp, and olive oil. I can make a great stew, now, I dabble with sauces, and can even grill great steaks. Capers? Never before. Sun dried tomatoes? I stared at them through glass jars. Being inside for most of the day and evenings, accentuates my creative spirit since Nature is cold and biting outside; and we can’t really go anywhere since most everything is closed. The virus may get me at some point, but I sure as hell won’t be hungry. After the dawn breaks, I’ll venture out again and search the sky happy to be alive.
