Waiting for the explosion

March 24, 2018

moneyinpoliticsI’ve been wrestling with an internal struggle, more of a feeling, I suppose, that sometime very soon things in D.C. are going to explode. How this explosion may look, I have no idea, but the splat over the hinterlands will have far-reaching effects. In my first set of novels, the SuperPAC trilogy, I developed a story around my own life as it crescendo into life amongst politicians. What I was witnessing was an astounding use of money and ways our politicians and even judiciary were falling into the abyss of promises for cash and security of their seats. Now, it would be naive and foolish to think this hasn’t gone on during our country’s first 200 years of existence, but the level of money and investments into getting promises covered – or not covered, for that matter – is now mind-blowing. In SuperPAC Nine-Day Shadow, you can follow a trail of secret transactions and assassins hopingSuper Pac Nine-day Shadow to find the lost baggage of people before Washington explodes in revelations. Sound familiar? In the book there are implications of a group wanting to buy the Presidency, the Supreme Court being influenced, AND RUSSIANS! AND THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. Yes, folks, were either there or not too far away from what I wrote 4 years ago. What really blows my mind is how some guy writing from his studio in a small town on the shores of Lake Michigan devises that all of this is possible, while the American public sits back like frogs in boiling water while watching PRAVDA (Fox News) preach fact-less conspiracy theories to continue the propagation of our democracy ‘s challenge to exist. And for what? Ratings and wealth? Absolutely. A small percentage of our country has become that biased simply to keep their gun, keep their culture from having to conspire with others to make humanity better, and to make sure they can write their Christian constitution while demeaning other religions for doing the same thing around the world. Fear mongering and wealth driven minorities are about to realize our way of life in an expanding global environment cannot be stopped. And the irony? That same minority, in their drive for wealth, pushed for globalization of the economy because the American worker “cost too much.” It’s bullshit to fling an arrow at the argument of regulations, because the real cost of doing business was always labor. Well, now, boom! Tariffs, boom! PAC money from far away lands ending up in coffers of those running for office, boom! Foreign influence over our democracy, boom! On, and on, and on, boom! We’ve seen this coming folks. Why are we so surprised?CapitalBuilding
