In the midst of a magazine article, I find that thoughtful writing doesn’t always come easy. So much depends on mood, daily routine, and, most of all, time. Just like anything else, a lack of time can wreak havoc on the ability to formulate and document any thought. There are those manic phases when letters spew forth from the brain to form words and sentences so fast your hands can’t keep up. Then there are times where every word is a whole thought process; every sentence and paragraph a struggle. But each phase seems to work with each other because by the end of the story or chapter, it all makes sense. So I write to the rhythm’s of my moods and my routine. Why does the magazine article bring this to the forefront of my brain? It’s about a house I am describing on a lake where I can’t use quotes from the anonymous owners, no address, and I have to be careful of what I describe in the home. The people are wonderful and the home is wonderful, but the rigidity of parameters doesn’t allow for that rhythm and flow I have come to cherish. T-h-o-u-g-h-t-f-u-l writing will prevail, and it always serves as a mentor to the mind teaching patience and temperance, but most of all to make time.
