Will Governor Snyder Sell Us Out or Redeem Us vis-à-vis Fracking
As I finish the draft of the third novel of the trilogy, I continually review the news about fracking in Michigan. I am amazed that Governor Snyder watches his fellow GOP legislators scramble the years of progress (bipartisan, may I note) we’ve engineered in this state to protect the most valuable freshwater environment in the world.
Unfortunately, we seem to be setting the wrong types of records in Michigan when it comes to fracking…
Information documents received by Ban Michigan Fracking on March 1 and 18 show Encana Oil and Gas USA is poised to establish a new national record for water usage on a horizontal frack pad, surpassing the record it set just last fall in Kalkaska County.

My novel began as a working title: Decisions. Now that I know where the ending is, the new working title is: Redemption. While the Super PAC trilogy and Parker Moore work to explain what really goes on with money and politics, the reality of fracking and the connected money becomes well established in novel number three. No prisoners Mr. Governor. It’s your choice as to how to treat our natural resources of this state. The legislators could care less as long as they continue with their obtaining lobby money for their pockets and home fires. You, on the other hand, can make a difference. What happens when the sheen of oil plops out of your faucet? I guess that might be redemption.
