and Vermont legislators not able to agree on any campaign finance change. The public seems to go blindly on listening and watching their favorite media believing just about everything they say. So, who blinks first? The only show in town for the next several rounds of elections continues to be the video of apathy. Society is changing, like it or not. We’re more diverse and less interested in a few oppressing the many; however, unless we take a long look at the continued influence of money in politics, we’re more and more likely to end in the world government most fear. As long as dark money resides in the ballot box, your local city council could very well be elected by someone very far from your local borders. Be watchful and be prudent in your local races. A grassroots approach to this great threat may just be the cure.
