After taking a long hiatus from the blog world, I believe it is time to come back. I have been finishing the final touches of two new novels prior to publication, “The Penny” and “Moving Tables.” There’s been travel and there’s been some camping trips and lots of fishing and kayaking. To put it more succinctly, I’ve been doing well during COVID by adventuring in the outdoors. My writing studio remains a fortress of strength and security for me, and along the way I finished the Wine Cellar redo at Symons General Store. Best of all, my chef skills continue to improve. But more importantly and prior to blogging and marketing new books, I really took a break from this site after realizing some drafts were divisive and more angry than ever. I still feel that way many an hour during many a day, and I suspect that won’t go away until after November 3rd – and then only if the current White House resident gets evicted. Being seclusive from groups and gatherings has helped me to NOT launch into public tirades; however, there is a lot of head shaking and mumbling when I do extend beyond the range of my routine travels. You see? I’m close to diving off that cliff and parade around in hate, so I’ll stop here. I shall walk through the author door and tell everyone to look for “Moving Tables” as the next best Amazon ebook. I figured we’d get that one up first since bookstores signings and library lectures are pretty much verboten. I did complete an open air kayak talk at Bay View in July, and it was marvelous. So, stay tuned and be ready to read.
